Who We Are
The Ann Storck Center is a nationally accredited, highly
acclaimed non-profit human service organization serving the
needs of individuals who present severe and multiple
developmental disabilities including Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Mental Retardation.
Board Of Directors
Our
Board of Directors work tirelessly
to advocate for the
rights of our clients and raise funds to ensure that a noted
trademark for the Center is the emphasis placed on upholding
the greatest freedom we as human beings have - the freedom
of choice.
How We Began
Approximately
fifty years ago, a nurse named Ann Storck,
opened the first residence for children with mental and physical
challenges in our county. Her philosophy of providing
children with disabilities and who are often medically fragile with a special
environment to nurture their potential is the foundation of our
organization. Now named in her honor, we serve more than
300 children and adults on our campus and in group homes in
neighboring towns.
Quality Care is Our Top Priority
Our highly-qualified staff consistently surpass goals to blend
compassion and respect with the most advanced medical and
therapeutic care available. Through our services we foster
learning, self-worth and independence for those we serve and
their families. Services and programs include:
Early Intervention Preschool
Developmental Training Program
Residential Program
Specialized Group Homes
Recognized For Excellence
The Ann Storck Center has been distinguished as a leading
service provider for people with developmental disabilities.
From local recognition to national honors, the Ann Storck
Center continually raises the bar and sets standards of care for
others to follow.
Most notably, we have received
five successive
accreditations by the national
Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF). CARF agents come every
three years and review detailed records, observe staff and
events, and judge the Center's practices against rigorous
national standards few meet. We feel this is a great badge of
honor and defines our commitment to excellence.
