RTC/DSP (Residential Training Coordinator/Direct Support Professional)

 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with feeding, bathing, toileting, and other areas of personal care.

  • Resident Interaction: Engage individuals in social interactions and activities.

  • Individual Plans (IPs): Follow IPs for each individual.

  • Behavior: Follow individual behavior programs as prescribed in individuals' IP.

  • Housekeeping: Laundry, sweeping, dusting, mopping, kitchen clean-up, etc.

  • Miscellaneous: You may be expected to perform other duties, including but not limited to hospital sitting, transporting individuals in ASC vans to recreational outings, shopping, and medical appointments, preparing meals, distributing medications (in the Group Homes), as directed. You may be asked to work in other houses/shifts as needed, based on resident needs. Overtime may be required.

The Fort Lauderdale campus has the following shifts available:

Phoenix

  • 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

    • 4 full-time (80 hours)​

    • 1 part-time (32 hours)

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 5 full-time (80 hours)​

  • 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)

    • 1 part-time (32 hours)​

Genesis - 

  • 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)

    • 1 part-time (48 hours)

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 1 part-time (32 hours)​

  • 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)​

 

Vista - 

  • 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

    • 3 full-time (80 hours)​

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)​

  • 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)

    • 1 part-time (24 hours)​

Our Group Homes have the following shifts available:

75th Terr. - 

  • 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)

Gizmo​ -

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)​

    • 1 part-time (24 hours)

  • 3rd shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)

 

Oakwood - 

  • 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)

 

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 1 part-time (32 hours)

Melrose - 

  • 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

    • 3 full-time (80 hours)

 

The Pembroke Pines campus has the following shifts available:

  • 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)​

  • 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 7:30 am)

    • 1 full-time (80 hours) - 3rd Shift Supervisor**

    • 1 full-time (80 hours)​

    • 1 full-time (64 hours)

five (5) of seven (7) days each week including weekends, on a rotating days-off schedule. Additional positions are available for on-call (per diem) employees.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a minimum of 3 yrs. of driving experience.

  • One year of verifiable working experience, preferred, with individuals receiving services in medical, nurse’s aide experience, psychological, childcare setting or with the developmentally disabled; college or vocational (30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours or 720 classroom hours) hours may substitute for experience

  • Experience working with challenging behaviors is a definite plus.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Must pass a Background, Drug screening, and PPD

  • Position involves lifting and/or transferring up to 50 lbs. bending, squatting and other physical exertion for up to six hours per day

Salary: $10.00 - 10.75/hr (Depending on position and location)
