Supporting the Village: Free Workshops for Parents and Caregivers
The programs and services Ann Storck Center provides have always focused on helping children and adults with developmental disabilities discover their abilities and build their independence. But what about the precious village that cares for this population – the parents and caregivers?
We’re thrilled to offer a free workshop series for parents called Supporting Special Families, which is organized by Ann Storck Center’s preschool and primary education programs with funding from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Through this workshop series, parents and caregivers nurturing the special needs population have direct access to experts on speech, nutrition, water safety, special education, and more. But this is just the beginning!
Ann Storck Center will continue to fund workshops and other resources for parents and caregivers through a generous legacy gift from Arlene Lakin's former non-profit, Florida's Voice on Developmental Disabilities. Ann Storck Center is taking on their mission of providing education and resources for families supporting loved ones with disabilities. We’re excited to better support the selfless community of caregivers determined to do the best for their loved ones. Curious to learn more?
