Adult Day Training (ADT)

Adult Day Training (ADT) is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 program impacts and restrictions as well as renovations.

In full swing, ADT operates six hours a day, Monday through Friday, 240 days per year.  We serve individuals age 22+ who have mild to severe, multiple, developmental disabilities. Our daily participants include our own residential community and Broward County residents.

Our skilled staff work with our individuals in a group ratio of 1:3 with emphasis on motor skills, vocational skills, sensory stimulation, recreation, and life skills.

Assistance with personal care needs such as nutrition, behavior, and nursing is provided. Individuals have access to and are encouraged to participate in Music and Art Therapy, recreational and community outings.

sensory room

A sensory room is specifically designed to develop an individual's sense, usually through special lighting, music, and objects. It can be used as therapy for children and adults with limited communication skills. The ADT uses sensory assistive technology to create stimulating experiences for our individuals. The program aids in goal achievements outlined in Individualized Plans (IP). We aim to provide an environment in which the individuals will thrive through increased mental and physical stimulation.
