Our Story
Leading With Love
Our story began in 1951, when pediatric nurse Ann Storck retired to South Florida to open her heart and home to a handful of marginalized children with developmental disabilities. Four years later, she opened the Pediatric Care Center to serve 55 children. The Pediatric Care Center evolved into Ann Storck Center in 1981.

Ann Storck Center serves more than 500 children and adults daily, including 96 permanent residents, across two campuses in Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines.
As the oldest nonprofit in Broward County serving individuals with developmental disabilities, ASC provides a wide range of residential, educational, therapeutic, and ability-focused programs that foster growth, creativity, and independence.
More than a place of care, ASC is a community built on love, possibility, and the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to discover their abilities and reach their full potential.
