nurses (lpn & rn)

The Nurse is responsible for supporting providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) in the provision of patient care, including but not limited to recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performing testing, and administering injections; assisting with procedures and documentation.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures the residents/participants receive correct medications, correlating doctor’s orders, MAR, and Medication Card.

  • Ensures that medications are administered properly and in a timely manner, following doctor’s orders.

  • Monitors therapeutic positioning, Range of Motion, and Maladaptive Behaviors, with any needed interventions.

  • Counts and records narcotics and other controlled substances at the beginning and end of each shift.

  • Ensures proper nursing documentation and record-keeping for optimum clinical intervention, including but not limited to: Accurately completing MAR entries; Accurately transcribing doctor’s orders and Individual Record Notes

  • Submits accurate and timely reports for nursing assessments, tracking forms, etc.

  • Observe and record the therapeutic effect of drugs and report unusual responses to the doctor.

 

FORT LAUDERDALE SHIFTS:

  • Day - 6 am-2:30 pm

  • Evening - 2 pm-10:30 pm

  • Overnight - 10 pm - 6:30 am

  • 12 hr - 6 am - 6:30 pm OR  6 pm - 6:30 am


 

PEMBROKE PINES SHIFTS:

  • Day - 7 am-3:30 pm.

  • Evening - 3 pm-11:30 pm

  • Overnight - 11 pm - 7:30 am

 


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in Nursing

  • Current and Active State of Florida License as an LPN / RN

  • One year of experience is preferred.

  • Experience working in a Group Home or ICF setting is a plus!

  • Must pass Level II Background, Drug screening, PPD, and Physical

PRN Requirements:

  • Must work a minimum of 3 holidays per year ($5 differential)

  • Must work every other weekend

Salary: $26.00/ hr. FT

PRN Salary: LPN $30.00/hr. ; RN $35.00/hr.

Location: Fort Lauderdale & Pembroke Pines

LPN SUPERVISOR

The Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising LPNs and providing hands-on nursing services to ensure the health needs of all individuals served are identified and met. The LPN Supervisor will support the physicians in the implementation of medical services. This position is also responsible for helping ensure compliance with regulating governing agencies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists DON and/or Nurse Manager to optimize the health status of all individuals by direct assessment, record review, and LPN supervision.

  • Assists with ensuring nursing assessments, IP professional reports, and IRMP goals are prepared in a timely manner.

  • Observe and record the therapeutic effect of drugs and report unusual responses to the doctor.

  • Assists DON/Nurse Manager with the coordination of medical and laboratory services.

  • Ensures that specialist consultations are done within a reasonable time from the date of physician’s orders.

  • Participates in the nursing internal audit process to ensure compliance with regulating governing agencies.

  • Assists DON to maintain a nurturing work environment within the financial constraints of the department.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current State of Florida License as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

  • 4 years of experience in the nursing field.

  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Google).

  • Experience working with families and/or children with developmental disabilities and some familiarity with educational rights, special education programs, and services.

  • Previous experience as an advocate (1-year minimum)

  • Strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills (verbal and written), and strong time management skills.

  • Bilingual, preferred.

Salary: $30.00/ hr.

Shifts Open: 1st (6a - 2:30p); 3rd (10p - 6:30a)

RN EDUCATOR

The Registered Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an education program for nurses and direct care staff to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing practices. The Nurse Educator will also be responsible for quality assurance and providing nursing services to individuals as necessary and functions as a model of professional behavior to foster a professional climate within the organization to meet the needs of the individuals.

​Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develops training/educational activities in accordance with healthcare regulatory and accrediting agencies (e.g., AHCA, APD, OSHA, professional licensure, etc.).

  • Develops annual training schedule; reprioritizes courses and makes changes based on individual and organizational needs.

  • Serves as a resource/consultant for initiatives that require health-related education/training.

  • Maintains files of educational/training offerings to meet regulatory compliance standards, to generates reports which reflect participation and compliance.

  • Reads and shares current literature specific to education and clinical areas.

  • Communicates areas of concern to directors, managers, and individual staff members as appropriate.

  • Develops training materials and resources as needed.

  • Assist DON and Nurse Manager with assigned duties as needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.

  • Three (3) years of recent clinical nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

  • Current and Active State of Florida License as an RN

  • Experience of working in a Group Home or ICF setting is a plus!

  • Must pass Level II Background, Drug screening, PPD, and Physical

Salary: $34.00/ hr.
